TAKE ACTION
Many believe, and often rightly so, that black boys and young men are “at risk”, but what can I as an individual do about it? Am I stopped from taking action because the problems seem overwhelming or insurmountably large?
M³ offers clear and practical ways that you can be involved at the level you’d like; you can spend 5 minutes or you can volunteer your time on a weekly basis. Please support our boys in a practical way.
In addition, you may have something to say about what’s happening to our youth – where can you express yourself and be heard? Who else cares about these issues? Read our blogs and participate on boards to discuss the issues.
In order to facilitate those who would like to learn more about what’s going on, we have written a short report that summarizes the state. It’s easy to read and accessible for both persons with a background in the issues, and those who’d like an introduction.
We have also collected links to pertinent research and further reading that can be of help if you’d like to delve further. Being aware of the issues from a scientific perspective can often help us think and act more cogently and we exhort you to study the subject as much as you can. Let’s not forget that “knowledge is power”.
